Poor phone was working overtime and couldn't keep up. I love that phone. I planned to post some really beautiful treebraids I did on some new, and existing clients. Cannot do that now, because the phone crashed, and I lost my data! I still have not replaced the phone thinking any day now the phone (that has crashed) will magically come alive and reveal all that content( sigh)!

After all when you pay extra for good service, you want to be pampered, right? The phone company is going to fix it- right? So dissappointed, but then thank God I posted some of those pics on social media already. We will have to make do with the few I posted then. I had reserved some pictures and not posted them- I planned to also make a movie out of them.

Oh wow, yes those movies- majority of them were not posted....(ugh!).

Do you know that sometimes I don't post because I can't remember ALL of my passwords? However for some strange reason I remembered it today, so well...here I am, posting away. Treebraids Won Over Crochet - Clients Review Both!

Isn't it wonderful to have a style that lasts as long or longer than expected? For a while now when a client has extremely short hair, instead of the required small braids to "catch" the small strands of their own hair- causing that client to sit for longer, resulting in a more expensive style, I had been recommending crochet braids. Areas of hairloss where other sections of the scalp and hair are perfectly normal were recommended a combination technique. Let's face it, severe hairloss requires a combination of different techniques to lower the cost, and time for a client.

WHY?:
Why after decades of offering my long sought after techniques for short hair and hairloss did I start to recommend crochet braids? There was a trend for quick and cheap styles that could not be denied. However, some clients did not want the big hair that is inevitable. Not everyone is a fan of big hair. Trying to trim down the volume of big crochet hair is a time consuming losing battle. Treebraids volume can be pre-planned and controlled while installing. So now when crochet braids are offered to either existing or new clients over the phone, I hear "Oh no, I don't like crochet braids I want treebraids." Fear no more I have STOPPED suggesting it. However, there are exceptions: completely bald crown, for example.

I am absolutely amazed every time, in the age of crochet, that treebraids are preferred instead. But of course, when intricate hairlines are to be 're-designed', you don't call for the butcher. You find a skilled person in that craft who knows what they are doing, loves people, and will take good care of your hair and hairline. From having strongly recommended treebraids, to recommending crochet, and now back again based on feedback. Wow, who would have thought that treebraids would win out?

As you, my existing clients may already know, intricate work that looks seamless is a much slower process with treebraids, but you get what you pay for.

Finally! Goal Achieved For Treebraids, Hair extensions, and African Hair Braiding Site

Hello ladies, welcome to yet another blog.

GOAL DIGGER

Wow! Only this past May we blogged. Oh oh, I see an improvement here. Dare I say that every other month at least from now on, you can expect to read a blog entry from me, Treebraids by Kaale? Oh goodness, I believe once I make this statement, it should be a goal. Woah! Let's not get ahead of ourselves says I with a smile. This is definitely ambitious of me, especially at this time when everything online needs upgrading.

I remember when blogging on one platform or another was a weekly thing. It was amazing. My thoughts flowed right through my fingers and created hubs of knowledge shared worldwide. I also wrote articles more often. So why am I going down memory lane? The now upgraded main website www.upalmit.com gives me life. It's my baby of sorts.

ITS OKAY TO GET THERE LATE

It's okay to achieve a goal late if it cannot be helped. Especially when there are so many other goals to be achieved on the To Do list that require almost daily attention. In life we don't always get it all.

MY BABY

Imagine you had a baby that needed something that you could not provide for. In real life that sucks! Well that was this website. Developers wanted thousands of dollars to upgrade it from the text link navigation based website that it was. Almost two decades later, its finally done. And it hardly cost anything close to that fortune.

LEARNING TO PUSH THROUGH THE NOISE

I have learned, and still continue to learn, that the shiny toys are not always the best if they cannot be achieved. The only shiny toy I need are my skills and experience, and my wonderful, lovely clients who need hair replacement MAGIC fingers. Also, that if one truly desires a shiny toy and works long enough, it just might happen. It was always in the back of my mind. I wanted more for the site and every opportunity, would push a little harder for it. However, the truth is that there were other things more pressing, and more desirable, as mentioned in the previous post, that needed to be taken care of.

Wow! We are finally here with a website that no longer looks 'Mom and Pop'. To some, this is not an achievement, but for me and some of you readers who understand where I am coming from, this next level is HUGE. More Tree Braids Styles

More Treebraids

Treebraids (also known as Tree Braids) styles. So what styles are your neighbors, local area, friends, and colleagues wearing up to this time this year? Take a look at some of the tree braids styles ladies are rocking and decide which one is for you, who looks like you (facial feature) or forehead lol! I know- some ladies don't use that as a guide. However it was brought to my attention that sometimes it is an important factor. The next blog will talk about similarities in another or different factor. .

Lace Front and Silk Base Closures With Treebraids

Treebraids are great. However enter lace front closures and silk base closures with or without treebraids or sewin hair extensions and versatility just went up to a whole new level. Treebraids are great because you can reach your scalp. In the past it was a challenge when presented with hair less than 1/2" in front and the client couldn't get cornrow treebraids, but didn't want to wear a wig or other hairloss aid.

What to do when a client wanted cornrow treebraids but has extremely short hair was quite a challenge to say the least. When a client has little to no hair at the crown of their head or a buzz cut, or extremely thin hair they used to have to wait get my NoSho(SM) treebraids, or grow some hair first.

Not any more.

If you have enough hair to catch you can get individual treebraids. New! You can now also get a lace front sewin- yes, SEWIN!

If you have enough hair to braid cornrows you can get either cornrow treebraids in the back (and sides if length permits) or individual treebraids. New! You can now also get a lace front sewin or silk base closure sewin!

HOW LONG WILL THE SILK BASE AND LACE FRONT CLOSURE LAST?:

The silk base closure and lacefront closure sewin will OUTLAST your cornrow treebraids and individual treebraids! The only caveat is the hairline will have to be tightened once or twice while you have it in.

HOW TO MAINTAIN:

What is great about the lace front and silk base closures is that you have access to your hairline and can scrub gently with diluted shampoos and conditioners to your hearts content.

After rinsing off blot dry and air dry. Next, apply very light moisturizer ON the hairline. Next use EDGES water-based gel sparingly on baby hairs and use a soft brush to gently brush toward, or away from the hairline in slightly curved motion. Finish off with a very small dab of LOC AND TWIST GEL, and continue the sweeping movements with the brush at the hairline.

This last action will soften up the Edges gel and together they turn any tightly coiled hairline into a texture that blends with any closure curl pattern and texture you chose for your install.

The hair itself only needs a little water sprayed on it. Add ARGAN oil very sparingly. If it doesn't come with an applicator place a dime size amount in the palm of a hand then rub vigorously between the palms of your hands. Next dab sparingly on all areas of your hair. Pull hair at tips, comb or brush, the brush your hands gently over hair to distribute excess product and to smooth hair.

Treebraids by Kaale installed Small size cornrow treebraids. We used our propritary '4 rotations traditional cornrow treebraid' technique. There is just enough cornrow but not a whole line of cornrows. Just enough for everyone to know that this is not a weave.

Hair is unprocessed remy hair in 3 bundles. 18" can easily be used to achieve this style otherwise if 20" is used you may end up folding it. 18" will also give this volume of hair. If 20" or longer is desired you get that extra length alright, but the volume is a little less because remy hair is sold by the ounce, usually in 4 ounces per bundle. Get 4 bundles for the same volume and longer length than my clients remy hair.

This is one of my high end clients: she does have a very busy, hectic project management position that requires ALL her focus on her work and her team. No room for minutes in the bathroom regrooming her hair. She reports that her confidence level as a direct result of this beautiful treebraids style combined with this virtually maintenance free virgin remy Brazilian hair has increased productivity- its through the roof!

After each install spray bottle of water and light cream leave in conditioner all the way to the tips, then a quick comb is all that is needed.

Treebraids With Virgin Brazilian Hair:

Treebraids with Brazilian remy hair tend to be fatter- a lady just called and asked me about that on Tuesday August 6 2013 so this blog has been updated and clarified on that point: Brazilian remy hair is denser than Indian remy hair. Therefore if your client does not want cornrows with no spacing or lines showing use less hair per strand per row so the parts can be visible. Why are the braids fatter? It's because Brazilian remy hair is far more dense than Indian remy. See the combo style below using small cornrow treebraids in front, and individual treebraids in the back:
